OUR HISTORY

In January 2009 the Cock & Bottle, then owned by Enterprise Inns closed its doors for what seemed like the final time. In the coming months the building was boarded up and put up for sale.

In April 2010 local building company Hutton & Cawood Limited bought the pub and began extensive refurbishment works.

October 2010 saw the grand reopening of the all new Cock & Bottle. A new open plan floor space, stylish refurbishment and a fresh new product range, the Cock & Bottle was once again back on the map.

In 2017 the pub was extended and once again fully refurbished. The new extension provided much needed extra space within the bar area. The new main entrance allowed for a much better flow of the space. A fully equipped disabled toilet has been installed, along with a baby changing facility. A brand new state of the art sound system & 2no 65 inch HD flat screens allow us to continue to show all sporting events in stunning high definition with full match commentary. We even have 2 sky boxes to show simultaneous events.

Early 2018 our decking area underwent a full refurbishment providing a comfortable outdoor seating space to enjoy a drink and take in the fantastic view.
